Residents of far east Vancouver Island are in for at least one more taste of winter months.
The environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for parts of the island from Courtenay to Campbell River, including Highway 19 on Saturday.
The national extreme temperatures and environment agency said snow is generally expected to begin late Friday afternoon and through the night time time.
“A rock solid Pacific system pushing all over the south coast is returning periods of snow in which to parts of East Vancouver Snowdonia. Along Highway 19, snow amounts near five centimeter are expected before the snow changes to rain this evening, ” Environment Canada said.
“For communities on the water, wet snow accumulations near 2 cm might be possible before snow changes to rain. ”
Drivers are reminded toward slow down and watch for editing conditions or limited -profile.
