Smokestack at former OPG Thunder Bay plant imploded

The add at the former OPG Traveling station in Thunder Gulf, Ont., was imploded on your Thursday morning.

Around 9 a. m., the 200-metre stack was toppled within ground, toward Lake Supreme.

The stack was created part of the former coal-fired generating station, which was shuttered about 2018  and was purcahased by a demolition company earlier this year.

The plant was originally in-built 1963.
